From the time Lindsay was a small child, fashion has always been a part of her life.
Whether dressing up herself , her Barbies, or her friends, Lindsay has had an eye and a passion, for helping others look their best.
Lindsay LeAnn Hillyard was raised on a farm in Southeast Iowa.
At the age of six, she and her family moved a few miles to a small town called Mediapolis. Growing up, she was involved in a variety of activities including sports, musicals and 4-H. During high school, Lindsay decided she wanted to attend Iowa State University (ISU) and study fashion merchandising.
In the fall of 2000, she began her studies at ISU and joined the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. In the spring of 2002, Lindsay moved to London and attended The London College of Fashion. This was the turning point in her life when she realized that this was the right path. Upon her return to ISU, she added fashion design to her major knowing that she wanted to work hands-on with clothing. She started working at the ISU Theatre’s costume shop and Hilton Coliseum prepping wardrobe for A-list entertainers such as Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Dixie Chicks, Aerosmith and Prince.
While staying active in her sorority, she also worked on the annual ISU fashion show raising money, selecting models and fitting them in her, and her classmate’s collections. The show was a success and Lindsay won third place for her collection and second place for her experimental design. Following her graduation in 2004, she was invited to join the Musicology Tour with Prince and his band. On tour, she was responsible for setting up the dressing rooms in each city, preparing Prince’s wardrobe, sewing any repairs, styling the band members and designing pieces when needed. When this tour ended, she joined The Best of Both World’s Tour, dressing R.Kelly and assisting with Jay Z’s wardrobe. Getting a taste of what styling entailed, Lindsay took the big leap, moving to New York City in May of 2005. She initially assisted a stylist she had worked with on tour for the next year and a half, working with musicians including Ciara, Ne-Yo, T.I., Young Jeezy and Lyfe Jennings.
This experience taught Lindsay how to successfully style in the music industry. In the fall of 2006, she was signed to Balan, Inc., an agency that represents photography, hair, makeup and fashion styling. In addition to freelancing as a head stylist, Lindsay began styling several hosts of shows on Black Entertainment Television (BET) in Dec. of 2006. For the last two years, she has continued to freelance, working with Grammy nominated artists, such as Chrisette Michelle, and styling VJ’s for BET’s shows, such as Spring Bling, The BET Awards and The BET Hip Hop Awards. Lindsay has proven to have a "flair for fashion" and is dedicated to her clients to make them look at the top of their game.  She knows it is important to people to look their best while at work or at play.
Lindsay's passion for fashion is real.
She cares about all people and wants them to look beautiful and feel beautiful as they share their gifts with the world. Lindsay’s experience has instilled her with a passion, as well as the know-how, to provide first-class styling, from head 2 toe.
